Masato Tanaka's Uncharted Territory Opponent Revealed

For weeks independent wrestling fans have speculated about who will be facing former ECW World Champion Masato Tanaka on the first episode of Beyond Wrestling's new weekly series, Unchartered Territory. Now we know.

In a video message released today on Beyond's YouTube channel, David Starr revealed that he will be Tanaka's opponent on Wednesday, April 3 in Worcester, Massachusetts when the series debuts live here on IWTV at 8pm EDT.

The video outlines Starr's perspective on his recent failings in Beyond Wrestling, which include an embarrassingly quick loss to Chris Dickinson on New Year's Eve at Heavy Lies The Crown, and a first round loss to eventual Treasure Hunt Tournament winner Kris Statlander in February which he also blames on Dickinson. Dickinson is scheduled to face Masato Tanaka himself on April 5 at Blackcraft Wrestling's No Apologies event, but Starr has vowed to take the Japanese legend out of commission on April 3.

The match is the first announced bout for the inaugural episode of Uncharted Territory. AEW stars SoCal Uncensored (Christopher Daniels, Scorpio Sky and Frankie Kazarian) have also been announced for the show.

Uncharted Territory Episode 1 will kick off the WrestleMania week streaming schedule for IWTV which also includes IWTV's Family Reunion show, as well as five other events from The Collective.
